A little about me:
Iโve lived in Columbus for almost three years, but my photography career started in 2019 by taking senior portraits for friends as a side gig during college. Shooting weddings was a hard โnoโ for me until 2021, when my friends asked me to capture their day and I (nervously) said yes. I didnโt anticipate how much I would love capturing all of that emotion and the fast pace of the day. The joy and connection that happens during a wedding is truly enthralling to me!
Photography is part-time for me, which means Iโm very intentional about the clients and projects I take on. In addition to photographing people, I work in social media and food photography for Tastes of Lizzy T, where Iโm usually focused on capturing just the right detailโwhether thatโs a chocolate drip or a perfectly styled bite. I also work part-time as a wedding florist with Flocal Co. in Grandview, Ohio, which gives me an even deeper appreciation for the behind-the-scenes work that goes into a wedding day.
All of these roles inform how I photograph: I pay attention to details, I understand the flow of events, and I value collaboration and care.
Iโve been married to my husband, Josh, for almost 3 years. He occasionally joins me as a second shooter (huge marriage perk!) On a slow day, youโll usually find me reading, baking something new, or doing something that lets my creative brain restโlike crocheting, playing guitar, or decluttering my home. Also, Iโm a morning person: besides a wedding night, Iโm almost always in bed by 9:30 pm!
What you need to know:
Iโm drawn to honesty more than perfection. I love photographing couples on their best days, their tired days, and their emotional days. I donโt come into a wedding or session with a rigid posing agenda or a loud, bubbly presence. Instead, I aim to be calm, observant, and encouraging. I want to give you space to be present with your partner or whatโs happening around you.
On wedding days especially, I care deeply about capturing the tone of the day: the energy in the room, the small details you chose thoughtfully, and the candid moments happening just outside the spotlight. The result is a collection of images that truthfully reflects your day, with all of its highlights, hiccups, mud, sweat and tears. I really mean thatโI cried through my whole ceremony and love looking back to remember how much that moment meant to me (even though it isnโt โinstagram-worthyโ).
If youโre someone whoโs content letting moments unfoldโwho doesnโt want to be overly directed or constantly aware of the cameraโweโll likely work very well together.
A few thousand words:
I can say all I want about how I want my photos to approach an audience or client. But really, I think they just have to speak for themselves. Iโve collected a few of my favorite shots over the years that I believe communicate more than just a documentation of a moment; they remind you of what might feel like to be back there again.
